Elizabeth Taylor, the Hollywood star who passed away last week of congestive heart failure, is best known for her acting and social activism. A little-known fact is that she was also one of nearly 300 subjects enrolled in the Endovascular Valve Edge-to-Edge Repair Study (EVEREST II), a clinical trial testing an experimental medical device called MitraClip.
