ILLINOIS: The giant US retailer Walgreens has reached a settlement with the state of Illinois which will allow its pharmacists to refuse to dispense the morning-after pill. Illinois requires pharmacists to fill all prescriptions even if they have ethical objections. Under the settlement, trained technicians or store owners would contact a pharmacist at another location and then follow his instructions to dispense the pill.
