Reality TV tackles sperm donation
The world’s leading producer of reality TV, Dutch billionaire John de Mol, is touting a show to take advantage of IVF technology. “I Want a Child… And Nothing Else!” will feature a woman looking for a potential sperm donor for artificial insemination. This is just one of five pilot programs vying for a run on the Dutch cable network Talpa — none of which are significantly more tasteful than this one. Viewers have been asked to vote on which should become a regular series.
