Fat stem cells to repair breasts
Could be useful for cosmetic enhancement in the future
Japanese doctors have successfully used fat stem cells to repair
breasts after lumpectomies. Although the study only involved about 12
women, cosmetic surgeons are excited by the prospect of being able to
create mini-implants with the body’s own tissue. If it proves
successful, the technique could also be useful for other cosmetic and
reconstructive purposes, say doctors. ~ AP, Dec 16
