  • IVF: About 40 per cent of parents who were about to embark upon assisted reproductive technology were found to have a psychiatric disorder, Dr Michael Alper, an associate clinical professor at Harvard Medical School, told Irish Medical News. According to Dr Alper, “we haven’t done a great job of recognising that”. In addition, around 40 per cent of patients drop out of IVF after each cycle.
